I’m writing a book and you can be part of it!
Incorporating my love and appreciation of nature, music, writing, and this wondrous and complex country, I am embarking on a cross-country camping trek, which I will document in my fabulous Vegan-on-a-Budget Travel Guide…chock full of adventures, fun, and any troubles and craziness along the way. This book will not only offer tips and tricks for vegans, it will be a hands-on guide for anyone wanting to travel or visit state and national parks and landmarks across the U.S. I’ll also be making a video journal as well as blogging here daily and posting pics and video clips from incredible sights throughout. I also plan on videoing frogs, coyotes, and buffaloes having sex. Yowza! Well…not with each other of course, I’m pretty sure that’s illegal in most states.
Life is short, make it count! So there will be pics, vids, blogging, fun and adventure galore! I promise not to disappoint! For a breakdown of what I’ll give my rockin’ supporters to show my sincere gratitute and appreciation, check out the tab above “For You My Friends”.
Conservation and preserving nature are extremely important to me, and I promise to minimize the environmental footprint of this expedition. I hope to call attention to our need to treasure the simplistic beauty in our own back yards, and the importance of respecting our planet and its splendor. I will also be doing work for the Two Hands Project across the country wherever and whenever I can. Your support will enable this project to succeed by helping me cover travel expenses and incidentals. And trust me, I am one frugal and resourceful woman, I will make every dollar count!
Many thanks to my amazing sponsors:
Al’s Army/Navy has generously provided me with some very cool safety/survival items including a compact/lightweight all-weather blanket, a Columbia SPF 30 hiking shirt, a Guru multi-purpose tool, a lockable gun case, pepper spray, an extensive first-aid kit, a headlamp, insect repellent, and much more. Al’s Army rocks!
My awesome kick-ass waterproof Timberland hiking boots have been provided by Rack Room Shoes. I may never take them off!
My sleeping bag, rain gear, bed roll, and backpack have been provided by Fox Hole Army/Navy.
Emergen-C has kindly given me plenty of packets of Emergen-C BLUE to help me sustain good health and energy, and some extras to share, so if you run into me on a trail somewhere, feel free to hit me up!
The Center for Biological Diversity has provided me with condoms to pass out as well, to help bring awareness about the many ecological problems caused by human overpopulation.
A huge thanks to all! I do appreciate all your generosity and support throughout!
After my return to FL, I will continue to post about visits to other state and national parks in the area and anywhere else I may travel. Again, thanks for sharing such an extraordinary and meaningful experience with me!
Hey Hook!
Glad to see that you are still on the road and having a wonderful adventure. After you left Bryce Pines campground we moved into a very dusty campground within Bryce Canyon proper and continued our very enjoyable vacation of camping and hiking the canyon. Funny that Sunday (6/19) was 35 degrees and snowing at Rainbow Point and by Saturday (6/25) it was 99 degrees when we drove past Lake Mead. We spent the night Saturday at a great little place called Far Out Expeditions in Bluff, UT before reaching home today (6/26). Please include my email address for updates.
Stay safe and enjoy your epic journey – looking forward to your book
